Lansdowne 61 Architecture provide professional services for all RIBA workstages, from inception to completion.
Conversions, extensions, remodelling, renovation, adaptation and retrofit
Over the years one of the most abundant, fulfilling and enjoyable aspects of our work has been the adaptation and remodelling of existing buildings.
Much of this work has been to repurpose for new uses or alteration and extension to meet current user needs while working within the existing building envelope and the confines of the existing site. The buildings have varied in type from Listed Buildings hemmed in to a city streetscape to the reconfiguration of space within vast shopping complexes. Whatever the project there is always a great sense of achievement after overcoming the difficulties posed by the existing building layout and structure and making the plan work to achieve the design brief objectives.
Asset operator support
The practice offers a wealth of experience to operators of large industrial plants and extensive building complexes such as offices or shopping centres to support their management teams in all aspects of space utilisation, asset management and maintenance of their building stock.
We have carried out a constant stream of projects in the retail sector and can offer the benefit of our vast experience covering all retail and related environments in particular mall reconfiguration and refurbishment, cut and carves as well as associated activities such as feasibility schemes, preparation of land registry and legal plans, provision of management offices and control rooms, customer facilities such as toilets, customer services desks as well as repairs, maintenance, etc.
